Games Day: What Else is There to Do? 
Every year, Games Day is held at the Baltimore Convention Center near the Inner Harbor. Not only is the Inner Harbor the most beautiful part of “Balmer,” but there’s also plenty to do when you’re not attending Games Day. So when you go, plan to spend a little extra time and see the sights. Be warned that prices are expensive and wherever you go is apt to be crowded—but then, if you’re at Games Day, you’re already expecting that, aren’t you?

Here’s what you’ll find right outside the Convention Center:

• Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles;
• The National Aquarium;
• The Maryland Science Center; and
• The U.S.S. Constellation.

There’s plenty of shops at Harborplace, and for you grown-ups, Fells Point (an area of Baltimore a few blocks up the street from the Inner Harbor) is THE place for bar-crawling. Glen Burnie, home of Games Workshop, is a suburb of Baltimore: perhaps you can give the GW boys a call and get a tour during the week.

If you’re  willing to do some driving, historic Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay (including Sandy Point State Park’s beautiful beach) are about 45 minutes from downtown Baltimore. And if you want to stay a few more days and make a full-blown vacation out of your trip, Washington D.C., with all its monuments, is about an hour from Baltimore.
