Fall From Grace IV: Introduction
Summer 2003 has ended, and over Labor Day weekend (August 29th—September 1st), my pal Pat and I continued our tradition of visiting Greenville, South Carolina for Fall From Grace, an annual gathering of gamers from across the United States. Fall From Grace is held at Borderlands, the Mecca of Gaming ™ that each 40K player is obligated to visit at least once in their lifetime. Why? Because it’s the best gaming store I’ve ever visited, and if you go there, I’m sure you will love it, too (no, I am not getting paid for this endorsement). 

Fall From Grace IV was organized just like its predecessors: owner Stan Reed announced the dates on the Millenium Gate forum and those who could dropped in for the weekend for some casual pick-up games. It was that easy. The number of out-of-towners was lower than it was in previous years, but I took advantage of that to play some larger games (such as the final battle of our tie-in with the Eye of Terror campaign) and to get in more battles against the “locals,” who just don’t know how they good they have it living near Borderlands.
