Who
I am (personal and professional info)
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Maryland, and a Master's Degree in English Literature from Washington College. I work for the federal government as a telecommunications specialist. In the past, I’ve been a technical writer/editor, a college instructor, and a banker. Why
I started this site
Fast forward to 1998, when I first got on the Internet and immediately began searching for 40K sites. I found lots of them, but most were little more than display cases for people’s armies. While this can be interesting, I did not find it terribly useful. I set out to make a visitor-centered site where I could pass along what I’ve discovered about 40K, hoping that others can learn from my mistakes and find new ways of looking at, thinking about, and playing the game. Other
40K armies I’ve had
Back in the bad old days of “Rogue Trader,” back before GW started coming out with army lists, I built an Eldar/Squat/renegade Space Marine/renegade Imperial Guard “pirate army.” These were the original Ozone Scorpions. After a few years, I sold them to a friend, who then gave them away. During 2nd Edition, I started a “shooty” Bad Moonz Ork army (led by Nazdreg), but lost interest in it and gave it away. I also had a lot of Allies for my Fighting Tigers. Currently, I have a Dark Eldar army, the Kabal of the Ozone Scorpions. I also have a Necron army, Yblis' Marauders, and am in the process of building a Tyranid army using Lizardmen figures. Other
games I’ve enjoyed
In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s I also run a Marvel Super Heroes campaign (based on the X-Men) and played some Shadowrun, too. I haven’t played either of those games for at least 12 years, though. Intro <> This site <> Fighting Tigers <> Ozone Scorpions <> me
