Countdown to Counter
Offensive 2: Imperial Guard (Armored Company List)
Rob Van Pelt-Cathcart, a long-time
Imperial Guard player, is bringing his massive army to Counter Offensive
2.
Phalynxian 201 Armored Battalion: 1999

Without any real fanfare, this list
is a run-of-the-mill armored company. I didn’t invest in any doctrines
or frills, just plenty of tanks for killing. It has a little bit of everything.
-
Command Tank (HQ).
Leman Russ Exterminator w/ twin-linked autocannon, sponson heavy bolter,
hull-mounted heavy bolter, improved comms, searchlight, smoke launchers,
extra armor, pintle heavy stubber
-

Leman Russ Vanquisher w/ co-axial storm bolter, sponson heavy bolter, vanquisher
battle cannon, hull heavy bolter, smoke launchers, extra armor, pintle

with the long barrel) and Exterminator tank (right)
I took a Basilisk for some indirect
ability to find the enemy wherever they hide. I also have several Russes
of different patterns in the troops, HQ, Elite, and Heavy sections. Obviously
since the Commander and Ace have better BS scores, they got the tanks that
could benefit more from that, such as the Vanquisher and Exterminator.
I also threw in two squads of Storm Troopers to take up left over points
and to provide some infantry support in case I need to get an objective.
Lastly, the Hellhound is just fun, so hopefully my opponent brings the
wieners to the game, because I am planning on a cookout!
