Jungle guides
I'd like to
have more people to help me explore this jungle--if you have something
you'd like to contribute, please e-mail me: kilgore@thewarp.zzn.com
and
let me know. So, what kind of material am I looking for?
1.
It has to be useful to the visitors. One of the hallmarks of the
Jungle is that a visitor can find all kinds of stuff that works within
the current 3rd Edition rules. That way, the visitor doesn't have to worry
about getting an opponent's permission to use what they find here.
2. It has
to be unique and interesting. From Day One, I have wanted the Jungle
to
be different. If you want to see your stuff here, it has to be something
visitors can't find the like of on other sites.
3. It has
to be well-written and short. I don't mean the grammar and spelling
have to be textbook perfect, but I shouldn't have to spend hours deciphering
it. Say what you have to say, in plain, conversational English (my German
and French are rusty, I admit) and be done with it. Tigers
Eternal was the longest (18 pages on paper) single piece I've ever
written for the Jungle, but I usually don't have time to edit and
post something that large. And, I suspect, most people usually don't want
to read something that large.
4. Fiction
must be related to the Fighting Tigers. If you want to write a story,
it needs to tie in with the Fighting Tigers somehow (hence the section
title, Tales of the Tigers). I'm just not set up to post non-Fighting
Tiger fiction. If your 40K story doesn't involve the Tigers, there are
plenty of other online venues you can submit it to (check the Beyond
the Jungle section).
Please send your
submission as an HTML or Word document. I usually have a backlog of stuff,
so it may be a few weeks (or longer) before your material appears in
the Jungle. Of course, you will be fully credited--I'm not here to
steal anyone's ideas. Finally, please understand that for quality and continuity
reasons, I reserve the right to edit submissions.
